Rubicon Retirement Village offers a twelve bed, non-acute medical frail care centre, fully equipped with medical facilities & equipment of the highest quality. Intense research & planning went into the centre in order to bring about an effective, functional facility that simultaneously makes residents & patients feel relaxed & welcome.

The Frail Care Centre facilitates the following for every Rubicon resident:

• 24 h Medical Emergency Response
• Stabilization by medically qualified personnel
• Further referral to doctors & specialists
• Regular blood pressure clinics
• Diabetic tests on demand
• Doctor consultations on demand
• Physiotherapist on demand
• Medical advice & information sessions on demand
• Compilation & management of a medical profile for every resident

The Frail Care Centre offers, in addition to the above, the following services to frail care patients:

• 24 h medical care available
• Qualified medical personnel
• Administering of medicine
• Daily bathroom rounds
• Mobility assistance
• Personal hygiene assistance
• Hand & foot care
• Short term care for patients rehabilitating or recuperating from illness/operation
• Long term  care for more dependant/bedridden patients in need of constant supervision
• Compilation & management of a medical profile for every patient
• Three meals a day – served in the dining room or in patient’s room (at the discretion of medical personnel)
• Laundry service
• Daily activities to boost interaction & socialization

Rubicon Frail Care Management

• Management of the medical centre will be subcontracted to a dedicated, professional team already experienced in practice. An experienced panel will apply a strict elimination process before employment of management & personnel will commence.
• Every individual patient will be evaluated by medical management in order to determine admission & care needed.

Assisted Living Units

29 Assisted living units will also be available in the tower block. Each unit contains a bedroom/living area with a balcony, bathroom & kitchen. These units will link directly with the Frail Care Centre. Residents will have access to all medical services mentioned above within the comfort of their own homes, until more intensive medical treatment is required. A standard evaluation will be done to determine the level of care needed.
